Dori, the pictures are breathtaking. My advise to you would be to choose the picture you are drawn to the most. Begin with that . . . then write down a list of everything you see in the picture. From there, look at your list of words and impressions, put them in a order that's pleasing to you and flesh them out. You'll have something then. I can't wait to see your poemture:-)

Hugs . . .

And here I was afraid the pest monkey was going to put his two banana's worth in......whew glad he didn't.
I wonder what he would say if I posted the poems I wrote about he and Nessy.. lol

Might be interesting:-) Can you get to them?

If you can't decide which picture, make yourself begin with the first. Begin writing impressions . . . if you can't get far on it, go to the next one and so forth. You'll soon see which picture is the one for your poemture.

Yeah, I can I printed them out but the pics are small I guess I better have them bigger, hey this will give me something to do while I'm in the hospital, for my surgery on my eyes/tear ducts.
Maybe keep me out of trouble as well...lol

I seen that pic, I could see myself and my boyfriend there, just he and I, it would be awesome to wake-up there, I hear me speak the words of poetry about pic # 5 but I can't see the words.
If you or anyone see a pic the inspires a poem you can copy-paste it and do so, that's what I did with them.
Maybe that will inspire me to write some, I know in the past it did, I see a word, just one word and boom, I had a poem..right Auntis Bev ? lol

Right Dori . . . well, I think your level of settledness plays heavily on your ability to write your poetry. I'm the same way . . . but you can overcome it with a bit of pushing on the noodle button!

Let's look at that picture and come up with some words:

Stumped on picture poetry In_the10

Forest
muted
trees
sunlight
green
morning

Now, you take each word I've listed and give me another word for it, an impression word that the original word makes you think of. For instance, take the word CAR. Your impression word might be: travel.

Wanna try?

Talking a walk on a trail , it's a crips Sunday morning, the sunlight shows us the way, to our journey's end.

Hows that for starters lol

It's a great start! Continue on your word impressions, then you might begin thinking about th things that are happening that we can't readily see, like wildlife, a deer peeking around one of the trees at you - just out of sight. Or a wise, old owl looking down at you and what he might be thinking about. Use your vast imagination . . .

I'll do that......in church today he he
I can see myself as a little kid, my parents would plan a Sunday morning hiking in the Allegan forest, then have a picnic, hike some more, then go to the lake and swim, then come 5:00 we'd head back home.

Funny enough, I too was drawn to picture no.5 ......It's so peaceful and lends itself to a little meditation with the distant tinkling of a wind chime blowing softly in the breeze....... deep thought

I know what you mean, Jinny, a lot of things comes to mind when I see that picture.
It looks like an island with just a couple or one family living on it, this is the couples secret little get away for a little romance under the starts.
That's as far as I can get.... grrrrrrr lol

Dori.. hope this helps..
Pic 1.)

How calm the blue
It's tranquil state.
So still the waters
breathe and wait.
The aura of the sun
still it lingers
Mirrored colours ebb
Towards my fingers..
