My darling little boy

My darling little boy
Was standing at the door
Trying to turn the handle
Was hard as he was four

I had a lot of friends
Visiting with me
When he burst into the room
Shouting “MUM I WANT A WEE”

I gave him some advise
That I told his older sister
Don’t say wee in public
Say Mum I want a whisper

I didn’t tell my husband
He works night for heaven sake
I didn’t see any problems
As he’s hardly ever awake

He had some friends round after golf
They came round for a beer
The next thing he came into me
Looking pretty queer

My son had walked in on him
Remembering what I told his sister
Walked up to his father Saying
“DAD I WANT A WHISPER”

Wish I had told his dad
Wish I had made things clear
As his father in front of everyone said
“Well son whisper in my ear”

I've lots of things to do right now
So be patient please, and wait

Watch the t.v. for a bit
For if I haven't done this ironing
Your Father's sure to have a fit!

Oh, alright then...stop your screaming!
One more shirt and I'll be through
But I can only spare a moment
For I've the cleaning still to do

Okay, what's so important
Oh my word!...what have you done?!
There's a wet patch on my carpet
Now you're really for it Son!!!!

Jinetty, I love this piece! Me thinks you've done a combo of BlaBla AND the bare-bottomed boy . . . that is wonderful and really shines on your creativity.

Old and gnarled, but here I stand
Upon this green and pleasant land
Surrounded by this scenic view
I started as a shoot ,then grew.
A new and tender shoot, I once
Full of myself - of confidence
Young and healthy - strong and bold
( Who would think I'd get this old?!)
Graceful branches reaching high
I grew so tall - I touched the sky
But now all that is in the past
I'm withered now - twas not to last.
My boughs grow heavy - each passing year
I'm not as graceful now, I fear
And with each season, I now grow weak
A dying tree, I hear you speak
I'm old and gnarled, but still I stand
Upon this green and pleasant land.

it smiled and i had to grip it so

When Irene came squawking,
just going at it awalking -
running her yap with all that talking
and I told her to shut her mouth.
Don't do no good I know
cause her likes got a roe to hoe;
wish she'd take the mouth home and STOW IT in a can.
Pfffit something about the postman,
a gram from Uncle Sam -
her sister Diane crying -
and I don't listen too close,
but she got blabbering
and asking for an aspirin
and I quit grinning when I saw the tears.
She's the boy crying WOLF! -
always stumbling under foot
but she had her proof
and handed me the news.
Mick got killed over there.
Irene knelt in prayer and all I did was stare
and feel bad in my soul.
Made up my mind
I'd listen to her cry
and stood there and sighed as she blabbered on . . .

Well thank you Mr Pete! I'm not satisfied with the second line, actually the word awalking. It ain't a word I don'ts think, lol! (when did THAT stop me:-) But I was trying to keep it tight and didn't take the time to work it through.

Rows of people clapping
at the kitten as he dances
to the music in his headphones
lost in vibrating music trances

Theres a little critter watching
laying in someones hand
''look at him'' the critter say's
''he's listening to'Bla Bla' band''

The bears can hear the music
as they stand on tippy toes
looking through car window
where the radios playing same noise

The little boy was dancing
all innocent and nude
when suddenly the coldness
to his bladder did intrude

The mother who was watching
gave a silent smile and sigh
as the child she had raised
reached for the handle high

All around music of nature
critters kitten bears and child
and the cutest little butterfly
flew past grand old tree with style
