Happy Birthday !..So ! Now Your Eighteen !!

On this your eighteenth birthday
Nan and Grandpa would like to wish you
the very best in everything
that life has to offer you

We have watched you since a baby
forming milestones of your own
have seen you pull the ''birds''
at such a young age, it should be known !

We wondered what career, in later life you may choose
then on one of our outings, we thought we knew
as you practised your arm movement with a flap here
and a flap there, a pilot, yep a pilot strong and true !

Guess that was wishful thinking as no more did your arms flap
instead it was transformer time and ''Yugioh cards'' you'd collect
Tele tubbies and Thomas soon went out the door
as other cartoon figures came and made Nan and Pa so bored

Primary school came and went, you didn't seem to impressed
then high school came with such a rush and you became a ''pest''!
Teenage attitude came so fast but is slowly disappearing
thank god says mum and also Steve...and Nan and Pa are cheering !

Eighteen is a wonderful age make it what you will
start it as though your writing a book and make each day a new page
take a chance and a challenge, try to never look back
coz 21 will creep up on you, then that will be another new page !

This special day your, ''coming of age'', we would like to say to you
that, yes, you've become a young man, with morals good and strong
still have a little attitude but nothing to rude or wrong, but
after all that life has thrown you, over these few short years
you've developed into a wonderful young man, one of whom we're extremely proud

So dear Lucas Johnathon enjoy your special night
your only eighteen once thankgod, I couldn't do this twice
Stay strong and focused you know the rights from wrongs
keep writing in your book daily, keep your page's happy and long !
