For the ''Little Ones''

Sitting in the dinning room, the mood is still and quite,
a lonely figure taps my arm, a saddened tearful child.

The others they are playing, as children generally do,
yet in some eyes a vacant stare, don't quite know what to do.

I leave them playing quietly, let their cars drive around their thoughts,
let little wooden pull along's, play with teddy's and astronauts.

''Can I have a cuddle''? as he climbs up on my knee,
snuggles tight, whispers quite, ''Grumpy's died'' with tears !

''I know'' I whispered back to him, cuddles became firm,
''He's gone up high to heaven'' the little voice explained.

''He's going to be a shining star, that twinkles in the sky''
''Yes'' I said, ''he'll twinkle bright, like the sparkles in his eye's''.

''When your outside playing and you feel a gentle breeze,
it's Grumpy whispering love to you as he's watching from the trees''.

''He'll always be around me, they've told me that in church,
it hurts coz I won't see him, no matter how search''!

''He'll always be there sweetheart, deep inside your heart,
one day when you are older you'll know you never were apart''.

The cuddle became tighter, I didn't want to let him go,
as a little tear breaks away, he say's, ''I love him so'' !
