Talking to God




I walked into the lounge
Saw my child on her phone
She said to me “It’s Private
I want to be alone”

She came to see me later
As I was preparing food
Said “ Sorry if I was short
I guess I sounded rude”

She had been to school that day
And while she was there
They spoke about religion
In particular about prayer

“We can talk to God anywhere
at any time of day
that is what they told us
that’s what they all say”

She wasn’t sure how to start
Or what she should do next
So she wrote it all down in her phone
And then sent it to God as a text
