Only thing is this time

Two little guys off to a wedding
Now that in itself is just fine
Only thing is this time
The wedding is going to be mine

Got the shirt and trousers
Tie shoes and socks
Only thing is this time
I’m going to need a box

See my wife to be is taller
That in itself I don’t mind
Only thing is this time
Her lips I’ll never find

My side is OK
The best man is just like me
Only thing is this time
Without the box I’ll be kissing her knee

Reception is all set
Cupcakes on the table
Only thing is this time
I’m even shorter than Betty Grable

Still I wont let it stop me
Looking forward to the benediction
Only thing is this time
I wish there was a height restriction

It's more fun

You see them with their children
Just itching to join in
Some with a beer gut
The rest painfully thin

But they all have the same in common
All wishing to stand in a hole
As they cant go on the rides
Cause they don't fit under the pole

Fat thin who really cares
Doesn't matter what sort
Be you only Five or barely alive
It's more fun if you are short

Two height-challenged guys skipping across a bridge - dressed to the 9's - beautifully scenic backdrop - one's older - one's younger - one is getting married (or IS he? The picture doesn't tell you the event! Make one up. - is the younger man his accomplice, best man, son, a dude just happening to be on the bridge at the same time? - did they just eat and have the 'runs'? - where's the fishin' poles? - are there MORE of them waiting just across the bridge? - what are the thoughts going through their heads? . . .

Forget you know these guys. Make up a story/poem based on WHAT YOU SEE! Dori, you have a vivid imagination, work it:-) My poem will probably be about a marriage thing, but that would be MY perspective cuz I was the bride:-) YOU . . . write about what you see; two funny looking guys crossing a bridge out in a park, they're happy and very animated. Have fun, polk fun!
