3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
Ever wonder if you are able to rhyme-poem right off the top of your head? Here's your chance . . .
Read through the poems submitted, then keeping with the pattern of end rhyme, add your own spin on this thread!
Here We Go . . .
Just a Thought
From time to time, I think in rhyme
Is that a normal thing to do?
To gather all my thoughts therein
To make a nonsense verse or two
Apparently, some say its weird
While others applaud my style
To write a story from my head
And it only took a while
Am I so unique, I ask?
I think not, I say and smile
I’m just the same as anyone
Who would sit and think a while
And there it is, a nonsense rhyme
About nothing after all
From time to time, I think in rhyme
Do you think of me, a fool?

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
Today is just another day my head is in a spin,
For all the words and common sense are jumbled there, within.
And so I graban implement to ink out every line,
To relieve pressures of the nonsense part, by jotting out in rhyme.
And to answer your sweet question: "Do i think of you a fool?"
You see your not alone, my love. It happen's to us all!
xx
Love it !

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
I dare not think that I could rhyme as free as you two do -
my mind just never worked that way, if tried I'd come unglued.
But in the way of 'keeping up' I'll share with you this verse;
though it be wise and cheery, I'll leave it rather terse!

I think that this could carry on
A catchy little plight
To instantly put down your thoughts
Tis a fun way for us to write!

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
I live in rhyme I sleep in rhyme
I do it day and night
I talk in rhyme I dream in rhyme
It really is a fight
I see people doing things
That really makes me laugh
So I start writing a poem
In moments I've written half
The world is one big poem
Not wishing to sound terse
Just take a look around you
Everyone can rhyme a verse
All you need is imagination
Just let your thoughts run free
Then don't be blind, speak your mind
Then you can rhyme like me
I do it day and night
I talk in rhyme I dream in rhyme
It really is a fight
I see people doing things
That really makes me laugh
So I start writing a poem

Then don't be blind, speak your mind
Then you can rhyme like me

I'll be not blind to propositions
but ponder I my true conditions
that shieldest me from instant rhyme
is time, alas, more time:-)

twas not so daft of you at all
to set upon this plot
of getting rhyming words from me
I think of them a lot
have just moved into floating home
with so much to unpack
including all those rhyming words
floating round my loft !

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
Poor miss Jinetty stood in her corner
wondering what we would think;
would we be open to posting some poésies
that mimic her rhyming in sync.
Oh how she flushed a wee pretty blush
when she learned of the truth of the day -
that many have captured her rhyming enrapture
and rhyme every day in her way.
Tis a fun sport of words, yes?

It was nothing, twas nothing
wasn't nothing indeed,
for these folks all are rhymers
that followed mum's lead.
But thinks I that I'D LOVE
to hear more from the bunch,
fresh twists from the masses
new poésies with punch!

I can't think of a thing I could add
as 'poesies' are not my forte.
I think I'll just leave you fine poet's with this:
I'm remiss, but you all have a grand Saturday, lol!
See, told ya!
Love, Babs

Oh how I love my new family of poets
I am chuffed more than all words can say
To log on and find you have all been so kind
And I haven't stopped laughing all day!!

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
Jumbly overload..
Jumbled, are the rhyming thoughts
That linger in my head
Oh, says I, surprisingly
I thought my brain was dead.!
Suddenly, I think aloud
Oh jumbly words, come true
For all these thoughts inside my head
Mean nothing much to you.
Forgive me, if I’m talking daft
These words come willy-nilly
My jumbled sentences are long
And now this rhyme sounds silly!
:affraid:

Not to fret my fine sweet friend,
as we enjoy your words thus penned -
for in this kingdom, (inside these walls)
we've all, ofttimes, been trapped in scrawl. . .

humpty and bungee
old humpty sits upon his wall and Jin. knows as we do he is going to fall
so why not put a bungee on his leg
then he can enjoy just as he spreads his body all over the floor
is everybody running out of the door
is he over a lake with crocs or has the cook just hit him with pots
people laughing all the time
but humpty well he broke up and now he is yours
but part of him is mine
so why not put a bungee on his leg

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
Old Humpty, he knew that he'd have a great dump
and he knew that his end was insight,
and all the King's horses and all the King's men
couldn't hault Humpty's fateful last flight.
But in Humpty's end, I am sure of one thing,
the good egg was not looking down -
for if he had bothered his fate he'd have altered, but alas
'twas my savory to brown!
and he knew that his end was insight,

Off The Top Rhyming Prompt
I sit here wondering
Do I rhyme?
A figure of speech
With each turning of time.
So I'll give a whirl
As I sit here and twirl
Thoughts coming from my mind!
I'll write each day
With something to say
To all you guys and girls!
How much fun it is
To write in rhyme and
Knowing that you all are so kind!
Do I rhyme?

With each turning of time.

As I sit here and twirl

Re: 3/9 Off the Top END Rhyming Prompt
To rhyme or not to rhyme,
is that our question?
It seems to be a given, for as we read -
it's in most all our sessions.
And we haven't regrets making time
to rhyme off our cuff as poets often do,
sharing thought joys in rolling movement
as we frolic and dance in the morning dew . . .
(Last line compliments of ROBIN!)
