Part of me wants to say,
Come on fella, you’re making the rest of us bibliophiles look bad!
So, get a life, okay?

But then I recall reading that he was battling cancer not long ago.
Perhaps that’s when he found so much time on his hands.
I feel contrite for my cavalier tone,

for my superior altitude,
and feel its source in spite of my wish that I didn’t;
nevertheless, I do.

Oh, it’s so difficult being manic-depressive and so damned depressing
that few friends may long brave my countenance of sorrows or
far away looking without seeing.

Enough of me, however, I admire
his tenacity, as much as I envy him his journey, for he must have found
words of all descriptions.
