Angel on the tree

here I am but an angel on the tree
everybody see's me
but to me nobody speaks or listens when I shout
I am stuffed in my box only wanted when others pull me out
trapped on my tree watching life go by
look closely and you will see a tear in my eye
I may have wings but they never spread out wide
I may be smiling but I am crying inside
the people who love me look at me and smile so sweet
but to be able to fly away now and then would be such a treat
every time the box does open I smile so bright I light up the room
but then it dawns on me I will never leave this room
here I sit upon my tree
I wish someone would let this angel be free
I could make dreams come true
and I would never leave you
so leave life's door open as you leave today
and free this angel please hear me pray

Such an unappreciated angel, Just as in life , sometimes we take for granted and don't REALLY see the people around us.

Those Angels we like to see upon the top of the tree
Will they forever be as pure as freshly fallen snow
So white and innocent they will be upon this Christmas Tree.
So when the bells go jingle, jingle again an Angel will sing again.

Lovely poem Jenna, an Angel shall never want to be sad but the thought may well be there.....I enjoyed the read..... Like a Star @ heaven
