How do we cope with the stresses and strains of that day and our normal Life.

Where: would you go to get away from things
When: would you do it
How: would you do it (Dreams or a special place to hide)

Look into your mind and see where you can go, then imagine your there…..!!!

It's group night and they've all arrived.
The board is blank, so are their minds.
"What shall we work on?", the speaker says.
Still the board is blank with stares.

Where do they start? What do they say?
They want to go though they must stay,
for somewhere in their jumbled minds
are answers that they hope to find . . ..

They want the answers yesterday,
they want the pain to go away.
They have to work and let them flow,
work hard, to let those feelings show!

For all the girls and mums we
counselled from 1988 -2000
Bless You All and your fight
to regain your lives..xx

Sue, I think stress-free for you is not thinking about your past. It's thinking about tranquil scenes where you are free to wander in thoughts of nature and love. It's why family is SO important to you. It's your nitch, your solace in times of stress. Good you have your special place to go. I've noticed water plays a big part in lots of your poetry . . . sort of reminds me of the advert: Calgon, take me away!

Good writing Sue. Keep doing it, and keep sharing your thoughts.

Thanks Bev...xx I try not to allow my past to control my present or future....BUT....I do feel that dealing with ''it'' the way I have has helped me become who I am. I have suffered and still do at times but feel if I stay in the past and dwell on it ......it still has that ''control'' or ''power'' . What happened in my childhood haunts me to this day but is right right right at the back of my mind ! I have NEVER had my mums support or belief even though it was admitted to her years ago.... It's all very fresh in my mind at the moment as my mother has taken it upon her self to tell my daughter and also tell her I was lying about it all ?????????????? I have better things to put my self through, other than something as traumatic as this !!! It was my place to tell my daughter NOT hers ....really cross and hurt about it and her, my emotions are very mixed over her at the moment, as she isn't talking to me BUT it's alright to talk badly about me !!!! Sorry have gone on a bit !!! BIG hug
