Tears on my diary

Tears on my diary
The pages soaking wet
Looking back at the life we had
How much harder can it get ?

All I have are memories
Of things we used to do
Written in this little red book
All I have left of you

So many entries
Something in every day
Right up until the third of June
The day you went away

The flowers on my Birthday
The kitten when I was sad
Even all the silly things
You’d do that drove me mad

I could just close the book
And wipe my eyes dry
Can’t turn back the life we had
No matter how hard I try

But I’m glad I kept a record
Of what we did each day
Even though it makes me cry
I will read it every day
