A day like all the rest

Wake up in the morning
Wipe away the sleepy dust
After going to the bathroom
A coffee is a must

A slice of toast and marmalade
To fill a gap is always best
Pull the curtains check the weather
Then its time to go get dressed

Have a wash clean my teeth
Try to hide my extra chins
Find something to wear that's smart
And so the day begins

Get the kids up and dressed
Fed and off to school
Better find a jumper that matches
As it's feeling a little cool

Time to make a list
Then it's off to the shops
A woman's work is never done
The work it never stops

Back home around lunch time
A quick coffee and a cake
Still thinking about dinner
And what the heck to make

Then it's peeling chopping slicing
Feel I've done it all before
And before I can turn round
The kids are walking in the door

Everyone is home
We've had dinner and washed up
Kids in bed lights are out
Now to sit down with a cup

Just can't keep my eyes open
Just cannot stay awake
I want my bed I love my bed
Sleep well until daybreak
