Tranquil Friendship

Tranquillity of the river
yet the rumble of the boat
enjoying a natures moment
four friends quietly afloat

Carp, Kookaburra's and Kingfisher's
dive and fly along side
as four friends in a speed boat
take in river and countryside

Black Swans waltz alongside
the ruffled rippled waters
Hen talking to cignet
as mother does to daughter !

Nests of Hawk's and Swallow's
perch in twisted willow tree's which,
bow and curtsy to us
in the moment of the breeze

Four friend's enjoying life
for a while, lose stress and strain
clearing their minds, that life intertwined
two husbands with their wives

Two wives, who've become good friends
as their lives travelled similar paths
shared tears sadness and sorrows
then through their friendship relearnt how to laugh

The river in her majestical way
lets us relax and revisit past days
of laughter, freedom and friendship
helps us release our sad dismal ways

Tranquillity of the river
releasing into our souls
four friends in a special moment
as along the river they flow.

Another excellent poem. I enjoyed the detail and how well you presented them with images that brought your river before my mind's eye. Very nice. Your friend should be proud.
