Never under estimate friendship
Way back in the year 2000
I knew that things weren’t right
She was going out more often
And the house just looked a sight
Spent most the time in the bedroom
Away from all the mess
Nearest thing to burying my head
I could ever get I guess
Then I found the dreaded Email
Too much for me to stand
She was going to another man
Instead of some rock band
So to cut things short we split up
Well to be honest I kicked her out
None of it had been my fault
In my mind I had no doubt
But as time went on it hit me
And depression took a hold
Nothing helped I lost three months
My world began to unfold
But now I’m feeling better
Thanks to the love of so many friends
So today my new life has started
And at last my old life ends
Never under estimate friendship
Be it close or far away
A true friend is there no matter what
And at any time of day

Rotten thing Pete, and it happens lots. But life does go on and friendship can be the best solace a hurting heart has. Good writing!

She stole from me, emptied my bank account, even my savings.
Emptied the hose except for a bed 2 chairs, and the TV.
defaulted on a £2000-00 loan that I had to pay back, and even had the nerve to come back asking me to pay her phone bill... 25 years I sometimes wonder why I bothered.
My friends helped me in so many ways, and still do

Friends are the best people you can have around they can pick up pieces that you have lost and restore your faith. But the problem is if your hurting the sound of a friend in the background may only be heard later in time. But for whatrever they say at the time can be a comfort without you knowing it.

This touched me deeply. When times get rough, you find out who your true friends are. Hope your pain has eased up a lot. So glad you had some good friends around you.
