It's Christmas and I miss you
miss the things we planned
miss your cheeky smile and
the phone calls to ''Motherland''

It's Christmas, time to rejoice
though inside I'm feeling sad
I want so much to hug you
don't like this feeling sad

It's Christmas and your photo
still has pride of place
in amongst the tinsel
in the center of the mantle piece

It's Christmas, I'm remembering
the special times we had
the laughter and the joy
sometimes feeling sad

It's Christmas, I still miss you
I guess I always will
your love and true support
exciting times that gave a thrill

It's Christmas, Nan, I miss you
so I send this wish to you today
with love, wish you were with us
have a heavenly Christmas Day !

Sue, this is very sweet and touching. I still feel the shivers. As you revealed of whom you spoke, I nearly wept for missing my own dearly departed. This is the perfect season for honoring and remembering, and your poem is a gentle and rewarding reminder of that. Your Nan would be proud. Thanks for sharing. Mike
