So many voices silenced
So many pens stilled

Recessions and depressions
Anxiety and depression

And yet the voice of freedom
Rings throughout our nation

Stilled pens – so many
Silenced voices – so many

Yet Love’s companion, Hope
Proves life is no joke

Or game at which one plays
To escape into arcades

I study what I see and write it
For it’s either use it or lose it
