You'd think that in life's circles
As time repeats lessons of creed
That we would stop. To reflect upon
Our actions, and take heed.

That we would not repeat mistakes
Of similiar fate and despair
And realise these moments are precious
And be given more time and due care.

So don't rush into actions of fury
Hold back what you think you COULD say
Understand that the heart can betray from the start
'Tis your life that you're throwing away.

..But life is not (just) a rehearsal
There's no script from which to read
One must wrestle each thought and emotion
And decide out of which will succeed
