Distorted Glass
Who's this person looking back at me
As I gaze into the mirror
I'm sure I do not know her
Did she used to look much thinner?
Her hair's a different colour
There's no shape or style to it
And a for her complexion
Lets just say t needs "full kit".
Your most alluring asset
oh your eyes, so sparkling blue
Yet now they stare right back at me
With a dull, glazed over, hue.
Your slender neck seems shorter
And much wider round the nape
As do your arms, you know the bit
between ya pit-that wobbles when you wave.
Say nothing of your bosom
They were small, petit and rare
But you seem to have let yourself go
There's m0re shape to a pear!.
And once, the tiniest of waists
Every fashioned garment would test
has ever expanded and forever be hid
Under layers of tucked-in Lycra vests.
The least I'll mention, yer lower half
Of which can ne'er be forgotten
But thrice the size is no surprise
Your ever enlarging bottom.
That only puts the pressure on
Your knee's that crack and crunch
Best skip ya breakfast, dinner too,
And just have a measured lunch.
The mirrored frame's no friend of mine
For within the fridge you pillage
This stranger is not me, I'm sure
You someone else's image!
As I gaze into the mirror
I'm sure I do not know her
Did she used to look much thinner?
Her hair's a different colour
