My Vision..

Today I saw a vision
right before my eyes
such beauty and composure
it nearly made me cry

It made me feel like me
before the years flew past
when I was more a youngster
when the energy would last

I felt in another place
didn't recognise my face
just sat and watched the scene
words and actions just a fraction.....

..of what I felt inside
emotional and sad
though happy proud and glad
of the person we'd created

I know I felt the same
the day that you were born
kicking out and screaming
though composure not quite formed

Two women in their thirty's
a toddler by their side
dressed in all their glory
a bridesmaid and the bride

The vision nothing like
the two girls who used to play
barbies in the garden
on a sunny summers day

The beauty from you both
a mothers purest dream
with a precious grandaughter
she completes my thoughtful scene

Sadness yes has passed
have to leave it all behind
look forward to the future
trying so hard to clear my mind

Tiny drops of moisture
left my eyes today
thinking of two precious births
and the future wedding day

Today I saw a vision
my daughter standing proud
beautiful and serene
her happiness so loud
