THE OLD STAND

Looking for just the right piece to go in their Cindy House,
Nothing really fancy but something just right.
Finding an old stand nothing really beautiful,
But catching their eye something they HAD to have.

Working on the stand when she can,
putting all her love into the odd looking thing.
wanting to look just right in their house,
adding this and that something to make it sand out.

When her work was done all the piece back in place,
what she had was not the same stand as before.
with tender loving care the old add stand looked brand new,
"With all the work you put into this" her hubby said "you deserve a kiss or two."

Ah sweetie! How nice of you . . . and yes, I'm very excited about my new OLD stand. Hubby was very excited too, and very helpful and encouraging:-)

Thank you Dori. It is so wonderful to see you writing again, sharing yourself with us - for us - in your special way. You're like me, going through dry spells, and you never know what might spur you to write! But it's in you . . . not to be held down for long . . .

Glad you like it Bev, yep I through dry spells but when a poem hits me I HAVE to write it down.
I hope I don't go through dry spells for a lot time to come, with th change in the season I'm sure there will be more poems forthcoming... deep thought
