Which Witch

Walking through an eerie forest one day,
Looking for a wife this day.
Was told a Witch would put a spell on me.

Deeper into this forest I go,
strange sounds reach my ears.
Darker the interior around me comes.
Shivers run up and down my spine.
Is that a hobgoblin following me?
No it's too dark to see.

Darker still the forest becomes,
bright eyes now light the way.
Spine-chilling howls now pierce the night.
My heart now beats fast
like a piston on a steam engine.

I turn to look back down the path,
but the path is not there it has but gone.
My past has gone into the darkness,
my future lays but ahead and into the light.

“What’s That,” I see,
is it a shadow of a tree
or something more sinister?
But wait, why am I so worried?
I am but a Wizard,
'The Wizard of Woz',
from the land of Wazn’t.

In the distance I see a light.
Is this the light that I seek?
Closer I walk to that light,
Find but house made of chalk.
Passing through the door I do
Find Witches, one, two and three.
They stand around a pot stirring
Some evil plot. I say to them,
"I look for a wife to marry me."
They give me but a smirky grin,
“What, who you be?” they said to me.
“The Wizard of Woz” I did but reply.

One of these Witches is good,
Two were wicked but who?
So now I have to know,
Which Witch is which, you know.
I say to them, "Please let one marry me."
They all look at each other and stir the pot,
They were going to put their spell on me.
The next words I uttered were,
"Croak, croak, croak……."
Now I am the 'Toad of Wasn’t'.
And I am now hopping mad….
