Beginning or End

Autumn leaves

______________L
_______________L
_________________soundlessly to the ground.

Some land on the water and quickly become caught up in the current only to be deposited somewhere down stream.

There are those that see this process of changing seasons as an end;
others see it as a promise of a new beginning to come in the spring.

One of my favorite snapshots of fall is watching the colorful leaves being carried on the water's current, like a last ride before going to a winter's sleep:-) Nice visual poetry Summer!

Well hello SSwope, welcome to this forum the layout and style of this poem is different. It works for me and I can say that a lot of the poets on this site will rally to it. I am a relatively a newcomer to this forum and I am enjoying every mintue I visit the site. I hope you'll find satisfaction and enjoyment from this site has much as I do.
