My friend Tom








I’ve known him now for ages
Ever since we started school
We laughed together cried together
Ran around acting the fool

Spent our holidays together
Even shared the same meals
We were so close so very close
What one felt the other one feels

We were together from the beginning
Well at least since we were four
So naturally when the time came
We would both go off to war

So to stand here all alone
Now his life is at an end
I cant say anything more than
Tom was my best friend
