When will you marry me, darren my love?
We've been living together f'ages,
The vicar says weddings don't cost all that much
So i've been saving up all of yer wages.
................................
It's took many months, but the plannings near done,
And the bridesmaids have tried on their dresses,
So all that remains is the bans to be read
And the hairdresser booked for their tresses.
..................................
Oh, Darren my dear, It's a further two year,
And my figure is losing to gravity
the vicar's passed on....an' I've forgotten the song
And my wedding dress- passed on to charity!
.............................................
Oh Dearest, it's been twenty years now
An' my body is shrivelling wiv age
My sweet lips have puckered, my teeth have fell out
And I'm nearing the end of my page
..........................
I doubt very much if you'll marry me now
For we've both nearly had all our chips,
well you've left it so long f' to make up yer mind
And the money we need now f'new hips!
