I’m a mouse for god sake

Been looking for hours
At the same blooming spot
I really is tempting
Should I try it or not

They put down fresh every day
I’m tempted but never try
It’s the spring thing I don’t like
I’m just too young to die

Dad did it once
His words were “ never fail”
But the spring thing went off
And messed up my dad’s tail

I know that I am hungry
But things aint got that tough
I guess the cake and bread crumbs
Will fill me up enough

I don’t care what they tell me
About this credit squeeze
I’m a bloody mouse for god sake
But I don’t have to eat cheese
