First love

Your first love is your best love
You think you’ll never part
The best love you ever had
You totally lose your heart

It’s the first time in your life
You’ve given your heart to another
Head over heals in love
And for once it’s not your mother

Your head starts to spin
Your mouth is totally dry
Your insides tighten so much
You feel like you could cry

Walking by the river
Alone hand in hand
Cuddling at the movies
You think that love’s so grand

But it doesn’t always work out
Through no fault of your own
And you find yourself wanting
And totally alone

Life goes on relationships change
Not always for the best
But regardless what may happen
Your first love always beats the rest
