She's on the phone again




Mum called the other night
She was on the line for ages
I wouldn't say it was boring
But I'd rather read yellow pages

I don't know how she does it
She always finds something to say
She normally talks for half an hour
And its practically every day

She has the worlds worst timing
You could almost lay a bet
That when she rings I'll be doing things
Or my hands will be soaking wet

Well half an hour later
Still trying to figure out
Just why she called in the first place
It'll be clear eventually no doubt

My hand has gone to sleep
My ear is really hot
But I'll let her go on chatting
As I'm the only son she's got
