Poor Fanny Wotawiff
Now this isn't as funny as you may first think
But poor Fanny Wotawiff had an unfortunate stink.
So referred to a doctor ( with a peg on his nose)
Was puzzled by what he could ever propose..
After listening to what she had already tried
He hurriedly suggested- (in case that he died..)
"If you bath twice a day i'd som'b crystallized soda
It sh'ud faintly disguise that hideous odour"
So desperate was Fanny, shetipped in the whole box,
And in minutes was SET in he bath, like a rock.
Poor Fanny, so sure that the treatment would work,
So excited was she, that she acted berserk!
Now, despite her embarrassment, her odour an' all
She needed to be rescued from Blue Watch, on call.
At last they arrived. It had been quite a task,
But at least they were equipped with the aid of gas mask(s)
What a sad blow for Fanny, after all she'd been through
No dignity left, no ideas what to do....
And just when her chin hit the deck with a clout,
The strong wafting stench turned he nose inside out.
But not far away stood a skunk who seemed struck
On a scent he discovered as Fanny, what luck!
Together they lived side by side in Fern Wood,
And never has friendship and love smelt so good!.....
