Christmas as a child




Early Christmas morning
Up the table with a pad
My sister and me
By the tree is mum and dad

One package at a time
Read the gift tag right the name
The other side of the table
My sister does the same

Pick up the scissors
But be careful not to slip
Undo the wrapping slowly
Making sure that it wont rip

Over an hour later
A dampened kind of cheer
Wrapping paper folded
Ready to use next year

A table full of gifts
Life could be a little better
Before we can enjoy them
Everyone needs a thank you letter
