Dreaming

I just sit and dream
Of I guess what life could be
Would the world be a better place
And is there space for me

Gazing at the sky
Wishing for a sign
Would the future be better
Will things turn out fine

It can't get any worse
At least we live in hope
Maybe governments will hang themselves
Given enough rope

They need to ask the people
Its our world for heaven sake
Shouldn't we have a say
In the decisions that they make

I look at what we're doing
And it makes me want to scream
What will happen to our world
Guess all I can do is dream

Oh Peter . . . I fear it will get worse before getting better. I think our November elections will show a drastic show of what the people want:CHANGE!

We can dream of a better place; like the way it was back in the day:-)

You are free to dream, but we are forbidden.
We all have the same wishes, but politicians are too selfish to make our wishes come true.
You have a sky to gaze at, but we have no sight out of our cells.
Simple but powerful and it unveils the meanness and selfishness of politicians.
Hope is the sparkle that provokes life in our souls.

I had a Pastor from Syria once, Gabriel Katrib. For religious purposes he was taken off to a cell and held for 44 days. During that time, his wife Hanna, and three children, Rina, Ginna, and Sammy, knew nothing of where he was . . . I know there was a lot he never told us about that time, but they used sleep deprivation as one means of trying and get him to renounce his God . . . . We are blessed here in the US, but I think what freedom we have left will come to an end soon also.

What is happening in America that makes you think you will be in a similar situation?

I confess that I have avoided the news and free to air television in general for a couple of years. It was something I had to do for my mental health, while I was sorting through all the triggers I have for my Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This isn't something I normally talk about, because any mental health issue carries a very negative stigma in Australia.

Does this threat come from the way America is wanting to deal with terrorists?

Chris, the general state of things in our government, the way laws have been set up concerning martial law, the monetary system as we know it is going under. . . . We've become nothing but a welfare state, people not wanting to take care of themselves anymore. Rather, demanding the government feed, clothe and insure them. Our democracy has eroded to a point where freedoms are becoming a mere dream.
Like many countries, the US is bankrupt, yet it continues to print money.

Morals have consistently eroded over the last 40 years. The average modern person between the ages of 15 to 35 doesn't see this decline - they haven't lived enough and have been dumbed down by the school system. When great strife arrives, all chaos will break loose, and many will be taken by surprise. We live in a society where many want to be entertained, losing themselves in their cellphones, iPhone, video games . . . generally wanted to be part of escapism rather than making themselves aware of the current state of affairs.
