The Purrfect Pair

Yin and Yang, the PURRFECT pair
had such a happy life
they lived with a lady who
never gave them any strife

Yin is grey and graceful
Yang is blonde and bold
visits all the neighbourhood
so the lady was told !

Yin quite happy playing
with toys supplied with love
Yang was naughty, played away
the lady's heart felt a ''pang''.....

something didn't feel right, as ,
a neighbour knocked on her door
''We're sorry, but we think poor Yang
is dying on the road''

His adventuring was shortened
the boldness was no more
the lady shocked and saddened
as she ran from opened door

Was buried with such care
as tears ran down her cheeks
neighbours worried that the shock of Yang
would make the old lady weak

He was buried in the garden
where he could safely roam
no more playtime for poor old Yang
garden bed is now his home

Yin stood by her owner purring with respect
sensing that the lady was truly quite upset
she really knew just how she felt, as emptiness set in
no more was it Yang and Yin, simply lonely Yin

As she strutted along the garden wall
following her owner close
Yin released her own little tear
as she farewelled her brother the ghost !
