Bird brained……

I bought my bird a bird bath
I like to buy him treats
He looked at it, then looked at me
Then all he did was ‘tweet!’

I bought my bird a mirror
In which to look and preen
But what he chose to do with it
Was bordering on obscene!

I bought my bird a silver bell
To hang within his cage
He looked at it, then tasted it
Then pulled it down in rage!

I sat him by the window
So he could learn to sing
But the only thing he learnt to do
Was mutilate his swing!

I bought my bird a ladder
So he could climb great heights
It even has a ring on it
Now it’s covered in ‘beaky’ bites!

It occurred to me he’s hungry
So I bought for him a sprig
Of lovely healthy millet seed
And he devoured it….greedy pig!

My bird is just a youngster
He has a lot to master
He certainly knows how to decorate
His cage is covered in ‘pooh plaster!’
