As i wander through the whispering woods
With my ears pricked to the wind
A favoured interest I am fond
And a place my heart is pinned.
I hear the calls of many birds
And the buzz of busy bees
And watch the tiny bugs beneath
The spider as he weaves
I am bedazzled by the wonderous sight
As the sunrays dances on the leaves
And filled with heartfelt cheerfulness
That my heart gratefully receives
And as I cross a babbling brook
Oh the hours I have spent
Bring home a sudden call to me
( Oh cripes, I wish I'd went!)
But somewhere in a clearing
I's passed a sign towards a seat
And disguised as though a hollow tree
Someone's designed a discreat retreat
What a clever woodland wanderer
To consider at the brink
Whilst we creep to observe nature
Nature sneaks up, when we least think!
