Wanting to be Ten
What shall I do, as I sit here and watch my life blood coming through?
It drops and spreads into the bowl and thickens up when it becomes cold,
It is the same as your body having gold, it is so precious.
What can I do I sit here watching it as it drops on down,
I feel so faint as a lot has gone, but only fifteen minutes has passed,
Since that fatal strike across the chest, you see it slash and you do not believe
But then the blood flows and you try to stop
That which naturally flows from body to ground, you dial for help and say I have been stabbed
But nothing prepares you for the way things come about
Now you sink to the floor and realise that what started as a joke is a joke no more,
You are lying on the floor
Will you reach the age of ten?
