Facing the fact

As much as I recall the day
You stood and said “I do”
Dressed in your gown, so radiant
We were overwhelmed by you

You knew he was the man for you
You knew all his faults as well
And although I had reservations
My heart for you did swell

Time and time and time again
He has let you down
But the strength in you continued
You refused to wear a frown

The hardest thing for you right now
Is to give up, throw in the towel
It’s not in your nature, I know that
You’ve not been one to “fail”

How many times will you give in?
To the pain it’s causing you
It doesn’t have to be like this
You’ve braved it too long, it’s true

Some things can’t be mended
How ever hard you try
Best for everyone I feel
If he just said… “Goodbye”….

Oh my I hope its no one really close to you thats given you those thoughts. It's a really sentimental poem a lot of feeling put into it. xxx

Very heart felt. I could feel the emotion in every sentiment. Peewee was right, very hard to comment on.

"She's" young. She knows life is short. Maybe she doesn't hear the birds singing anymore, can't see the sky opening a new day. Doesn't mean it's not there when she's ready to look. Let's pray she does soon, and moves forward into a happier existence. I did, and I'm an old hen that believes it's never too late.
