Contentment

These green fields
now turned to white
the fallen snow glistens
in the morning sunlight.
How lucky I am to see
such a wonderful sight.

This sun so big, so round
rises slowly from the ground.
A bright orange ball brings
warmth to this wondrous land.
All wrapped I am, in warm clothing
thus to keep out this cold from
chilling these old bones of mine.

The air feels crisp and clean
my breath does cloud, but briefly
this cold and clear air.
I sight the birds and furry animals
while they search for food beneath
this earth now covered in white.

How glorious it is to feel so much alive
upon this morning so bright.
Bring forth the tribulations of a brand new day
for I will face them with a brave new heart.
So I call upon you all...
To meet thee on the winds of time
To lavish with thee on this day so clear,
so clean and feel with me
the contentment of feeling alive.

Thanks, (Bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding,beans and 2 slices of toast) Lucie. Thought I'll get the full English brekky in as poor old is Sausage...!!! lol.
The thought came while was on a train from Spalding, as we crossed the countryside I saw this lovely sunrise over the fields of white snow (yes I no snow white Doh!!!!).
