where's the happy gone?
So many odes of soulfulness
such sadness we lament
How quick the pen and scratch our thoughts
Are there memories not of merriment?
The joy of spring, the birth of love
the thankfulness to be..
Alive with those I care for most
To share m life so blessedly.
My heart it bleeds for those in doubt
A smile can cure most ails
for those who suffer greatly
heartfelt giving never fails.
I wish the world a happy place
no fear, no pain no strife
A community of human hearts
to fill the empty void of life.

Re: where's the happy gone?
Bless you Lucie.....my little ray of sunshine!
You always see only beauty when you fall into a muddy puddle!
You have the gift of making even nasty people feel humble...
Yes the world out there can be loathesome but you're always cheerful and thats why i'm blessed. Lovely writing by the way. xxx

Re: where's the happy gone?
Sad to say so many things in life are sad / tragic, and the only way to overcome them is to express them in a literal sense It's as one of my poems says "Life is Hard"
But it is all about balance, and I like to think that for every bad thing that happens, a good thing will come along.
So some days my writing may be somber, and others up beat, Its how I am feeling at the time, but I'm glad to say that I have more up beat days now than I used to have.
I too wish the world had a happy place, and nobody had to struggle.
Lovely thoughts you have

Re: where's the happy gone?
Hey Lucie, for the amount of sad things that happen in life to us is overpowered by happiness and joy. It's those memories that that stick in our minds and counter the sadness. You are a lovely lady born from an even lovelier Mother, you be happy and love the poem.....
