Poised......at the light switch..
Fingers froze, and hes-i-tate..
Toes are twitching, sctomache wretching
Why do I get in such a state?

The dark, it doesn't frighten me,
The door I prefer closed tight,
But what i fear- is very clear
lurks over there!... at night.

It's scaley claws are awaiting..
ready to spring into action,
At any attempt I get out of step
Grabbing my ankles, if close by a fraction!

It's HUGE , cold , black eyes
always starring........ and wide
I once peeked/held my breath
-met his glance, ..and then cried.

But today, I am strong!
I will leap, bound and conquer!
I'll plan it by seconds
To win. and live longer!

ok....I know i can do it
Its all in-my-head,
a run,three leaps a jump and then..
I'm tucked up SAFE in bed!
