Mouse

Every day while I'm at work
He's wandering round the house
Looking round for leftovers
The elusive little mouse

When things are quiet
And I am out of the way
He is the king of the castle
All day every day

I try laying traps
And fill them full of nuts
He eats them all and runs away
The bloody things got guts

I've even had the man out
To try and find the nest
But even he gave up
Trying to catch the little pest

I guess I will just leave it
Instead of having to fight
I guess he sits and stairs at me
Chuckling half the night
