Adult to her Inner Child
Hello little girl, so sweet and innocent
who survived so much hurt and pain,
that was not meant ?!
Your eyes would look sad, though your face had a smile,
under it all was a confused and hurt child.
I would just like to say, that of you I'm so proud
of your loving and caring, the friendship and sharing,
the hurt was so deep, that it troubled your sleep
I know as a child, you were scared to shout loud.
Sharing the pain, we halved the strain
that then made us make contact again
contact with each other, that should never have stopped,
but, because of abuse, we both lost alot.
I'm so glad I found you, hiding inside
even though you were crying, shivering and wild,
crying from hurt, shivering from anger
wild that this child's left with thoughts to meander
Glad that I found you, to tell you the truth,
that I never stopped wanting to have you around
your a true loving child, adult now to
we've both found new friendship, to last our life through.
I love you dear child, for you are what I am
now we're healing and cheering, having some fun
if the hurt creeps back in we just sit down and write
get rid of those feelings that haunt through the night.
No more cruel limits on what we can do
we've grown together, away from hurt home,
A family now we've created with pride,
with NO hurtfull feelings and husband by side.
If anything good can be salvaged from hurt
its to never pass on any kind of distress
to an innocent child with a smile on her face
nobody know's that she's hurt and disgraced.
To my inner child, we are very strong,
though the path that we took, really seemed very long
we finally made it with smiles, not disgrace
now in this world we take OUR valued place !
From me to you and you to me
I'll love you daily, keep your spirit free !.. xx

A lovely child, and a lovelier grown person who nurtures her. There is such sadness and cruelty in the world. Too bad so much of it is visited upon children. May God help us, every one. A beautiful poem. I pray the little girl inside is well. Mike

Re: Adult to her Inner Child
Thankyou so much Mike .....the little girl still suffers now and then BUT takes pride in her recovery and that she is so able to help others through the same haunting terrors of the mind, she still does not quite understand her mothers and siblings, cruelty and rejection but is not going to waste her life trying to.......It is beautiful to have the love and support of sooooo many people, some of which I have never met ....again thankyou for your kind words
And Lucie thankyou so much, you always leave me such beautiful replies and feedback xxx
