Helping Little Me

Memories come and memories go
the feelings sometimes follow slow
don't know if they're feeling right
or match the memories of the night
What can you trust what can you feel
how do you sort out what is real
trust your heart, trust inside
nothing more that you should hide !
Memories there ? But mind is blank !
My security system, I so thank
You can not feel, what isn't so
Memory there ? Mind won't go
When little me inside is more ready
I'll cuddle up to childhood teddy
Hold the adult you so tight
hoping you'll help me through day and night
