Twenty year old tinsel

Toilet roll and tissue
A motto with rhyming slang
A hat that never fits your head
And a strip that never goes bang

Twenty year old tinsel
Santa with a big black belt
A snowman made from Styrofoam
That will never ever melt

Fairy lights that are faulty
So you buy another set
Dates and assorted biscuits
Is as good as its going to get

Turkey in the oven
Sherry in a glass
Best ease up till later on
Don’t want to end up on my arse

This is what they call Christmas
A time of joy and cheer
Better save some of the sherry
To see in the new year

I wish you a merry humbug
As I sit her on me botty
my hubby's laid up for christmas
the dogs are driving me potty
no turkey in the oven
no sprouts adorn my plate
I'm on me own for christmas
So 'bah humbug' to yer mate.!!
