The Crawl
Crawling cautiously along the floor
with amazing grace
for his age
he used
all his given strength
internally commanding
his young body
to assume the position
he had seen of others
Meagerly
with no coordination
he set off
from his new found stance
for an adventure of.......
crawling along the floor
to recapture
the stance
that the brain
had tried to
command
from a body
to young
to retain
information

Re: The Crawl
Baby anything trying to craw/walk for the first time is precious. I guess it's our first taste of struggle:-)

Re: The Crawl
Very nice poem. It was easy to visualize the child in its monumental efforts to crawl on the floor, a very special moment too easily overlooked. Thanks.
