Larry

My name is Larry
I am always in a flurry
Up at dawn my day
It all but starts.

A bowl of biscuits
Does wait for me
And water to wash
It all away.

Ready and dressed
For another day
I need a leak before
we walk some way

My best friend at my side
We walk along the way
We're off to the station
To travel to work today.

Watching all these legs
Which pass me by
avoiding the bags
Which hang so low.

Keep an eye on my
Best friend I am
Watching for danger
which maybe ahead.

To the crossing we go
Wait by the lights
For the sound to go
Walk briskly across the road,
my best friend
Is with me in tow.

To the station we arrive
Down the stairs we go
onto the train we are
and a rest for me to take.

Close to destination
we are but near on
our feet we are right now
Into station the train arrives.

Then off again up the stairs
So long and steep
with my best friend at my side.
Out of the station and along
The streets of London Town
towards the office we go.

Jeannie with the mousey hair
pats me proudly on my
furry head as we arrive.
For I am Larry the Guide dog
for one to see
And I have brought my
best friend safely to work again
so now you can all but see.
