WAITING

Sitting here waiting for just one word,
even an E-mail knowing all is well with you.
Still can't find your phone as I tried calling,
but you have it turned off.

Are you awake or still in a deep sleep,
Waiting is one of the hardest things I have to do.
I know "no news is good news,"
Just to know if you're awake is all that I want.

Going back and forth to see an E-mail the from family,
letting me know that all is well .
One little sentence that says "his eyes are open !"
Would make my New Years day a good one.

Sending you a message that the time has come,
you have slept long enough please open your eyes.
To know that you're awake and wanting to hear from me,
Letting me know you have missed me too.

Reaching out to you with my mind,
touching you on your shoulder
a whisper in your ear letting you know I'm near.
A soft kiss on your cheek and on your lips,
soft as a butterfly's wing light as the breeze.

Just to have you open your eyes to look at me,
Though here I sit so far from you.
Wishing just for a day I was there sitting beside you,
Holding your hand in mine till you are awake.

Hear my whisper call to you that it's time to awaken,
feel my touch on your shoulder that arouses you.
The feather like kiss on your lips,
Yet here I sit and .............wait.

Found out today he (Michael) had a stroke, he's not in a coma but he's still unconscious, and is in the critical care ICU, and his son found his phone.

Thanks Jinny, glad you like it.

I heard from him last night, he is doing great he need P.T. (physical therapy )For his legs, other than that he's fine and ready to leave the hospital.

Hi Dori so sorry to hear about michael but you know we are all praying for him.
You just reach out to God and His strength until you can get those words tht tell you he is safe staysafe yourself my friend.

Thanks everyone, he is healing more every day, he just needs to get his legs working again.

Thank-you also for the prayers, they are working, I to have been praying for him every day.

We are looking forward to him being able to come back here this spring, late time he was here was Thanksgiving day, we are so missing each other.
And yes, we know what we have IS real, we do love each other so much.

Your poem touched me deeply as I am a stroke victim myself. Sometimes recovery is slow. I hope Michael is improving daily. Your poem was beautiful and very touching.

Thanks everyone, sorry for not letting you know sooner, he is well back on his feet and like me causing his daily troubles, one bad thing tho he wants to go back to BULL RIDING, yes about 6 yrs ago he used to ride the bulls, at the rodeo, I call him my "bull riding, truck driving, motorcycle riding, cowboy" he has 3 or 4 horses as well. lol hug
